Coming in 2026
Please scroll through this page to see Bill’s various events coming this year. He Is also planning additional events and will continue to revise and update this page, so please return to it occasionally.
*** Free online contemplative gatherings ***
Bill continues to convene periodic, live-streamed, 50-minute online conversations he describes as “Hearing, Remembering, Coming Together” (Sanskrit: Śravana, Smaraṇa, Saṃsthāna).
He begins each session by sharing a teaching from yogic and other spiritual philosophies. He and the group then sit together with that teaching in a spirit of contemplation in a way that Bill hopes supports participants in applying it in their lives. Each session ends with a short period of meditation.
Participation is free of charge and participants do not need to commit to the on-going series. Anybody and everybody is welcome for any session.
The next gathering will be scheduled for the early- or mid-winter.
Please return to this page occasionally for further information.
Bill will also send out a notice to his mailing list. To place your name on that list please go the the “Join Bill’s Mailing List” tab on this Website.

*** Live-streamed Interactive Philosophy Talk ***
Longing and Belonging
Sages and poet-saints from the tradition of bhakti yoga on life oriented toward divine love
Saturday 24 January 2026
3:00–5:00pm Eastern US and Canada time
Produced by Shakti Yoga, Geneseo, New York
Preceded from 1:00-2:45pm Eastern time by an optional, all-level, live-streamed yoga practice based on the same theme with Angela Caplan & Jacki McCausland E-RYT 500.
In this interactive philosophy session we will hear and contemplate the words of wise ones on a life oriented toward a divine presence deep within each of us that is both the source and object of our deepest longing.
So, too, we will see that this very longing can also lead us to a deep sense of belonging: to others, to the world, to ourselves, and to that deepest Love itself.
Longing and belonging: these sentiments can be so important to us while living in a challenging world where love can feel so distant. Together, we will hear and contemplate short selections from a classic yogic text on spiritual love known as the Bhakti Sūtra. So, too, we will listen to powerfully moving sentiments composed by poet-saints from India that can give voice to our own sense of longing for, and belonging to, divine love.

The theme for the retreat is still being formed yet will be based on texts, in Bill’s translation, from foundational texts in yogic spiritual philosophy.

Each day will include ample time for the practice of meditation and to delight in the retreat site’s physical surroundings. And we will all enjoy each other’s company.
Georgie describes the site as ” set on the cliffs on the South coast of Lefkada with views of the Ionian Sea and the mythical island of Ithaca. With a small maximum retreat site of 18, accommodation is shared between 3 stone villas. Each villa has its own pool, one of which will be heated. The site also has its own beautiful private beach.”
